Kent spinner James Tredwell has been named in the provisional 30-man squad for the t20 World Cup.

Tredwell, who recently took two wickets for Enlgand’s one-day side, will be hoping to be in the final 15 which is named next month for the tournament to be staged in Sri Lanka in September.

The 30-year-old replaced first choice Graeme Swann for the final ODI against Australia at Old Trafford last week.

England are current holders of the ICC World Twenty20 title and will face Afghanistan and India in the group stages beginning on Friday 21 September against Afghanistan in Colombo.
