Tunbridge Wells have now lost four on the bounce after they went down 32-15 at home to Wimbledon, a side they beat away from home earlier this season.
James Warren and Mike Doherty were Wells’ try-scorers, with Warren adding a conversion and a penalty, but the visitors eased to victory and sit eighth in the table.
Wells, meanwhile, are now just two points ahead of third-bottom Old Elthamians, who were 36-6 winners against Chobham on Saturday.
Saturday sees Wells make the long trip to West Sussex to take on Chichester.
In London 2 South East, Tonbridge Juddians are just two games away from promotion after their latest win, a 70-0 thrashing of basement club Eastbourne.
TJs’ lead was just 13-0 at the break but harsh half-time words from coach Peter Dankert sent the visitors out fired out and the floodgates opened in the second period.
Logan Chandler, Tomasi Biutiviti and Lee Campion each scored twice, with Shaun Cooper and Liam Rankin also getting their names on the scoresheet.
Four points will now clinch the league title for TJs but their attentions now turn to Saturday’s Intermediate Cup quarter-final at Saffron Walden.
Sevenoaks are back up to third in the division after they were 28-10 victors at Kent rivals Bromley while Warlingham were beaten 20-5 by Deal & Betteshanger.
The win came seven days after Oaks’ demoralising derby defeat to TJs and while promotion is now beyond them, they will be confident of following up with another win against Eastbourne on Saturday.
The following week sees them take on Warlingham in a game which is likely to determine their final league position.
Cranbrook cemented their credentials as Kent 1 play-off favourites with a 27-17 home win over Guy’s Hospital at the Tomlin Ground.
The Cranes remain four points behind leaders Dartfordians, but crucially, they are seven points clear of third-placed Sittingbourne with three league fixtures remaining.
Next up in the league is a trip to Darfordians on March 20.
